Horsley School is one of the oldest in the county, being over 260 years old. We have 107 children on roll whose ages range from 4-11 years. They are taught in four mixed-aged classes.
We are a school of high expectations and standards but also a school that celebrates the arts and sports, where every child is encouraged to achieve their personal best and excel in their particular talents. We build self-esteem and inspire confidence. Everyone remembers what they learn through enjoyment.
We aim to provide a structured, safe, supportive but stimulating environment. Every child benefits from our strong village community and Christian ethos which underpins everyday life at school. We pride ourselves on the caring, family atmosphere that helps make our school the vibrant place that it is.
We have a very close working relationship with the school. As well as providing Foundation Governors, we take Collective Worship on Mondays and Fridays and the ever popular 'Open the Book' Team go in on a Tuesday morning.
